Cyclocable® is perfectly in line with the Sustainable Development and EcoMobility initiatives of today’s cities.

The concept
Cyclocable is a cable lift that is specifically adapted to urban landscapes and designed to help cyclists climb up difficult hills.

Invented and installed in 1993 by a Norwegian designer, Jarle WANVICK, Cyclocable transports cyclists effortlessly up difficult hills.

User Guide
Easy to operate, easy to use: the cyclist simply rests his or her foot on a moving footplate called the “pedal”, which is towed by a cable. The pedals push the cyclists up the slope for an effortless climb to the arrival station. At the top, the pedals disappear below the surface of the road and travel back to the bottom. The novelty of SKIRAIL’s patent: the pedal automatically drops below the surface of the road if the cyclist gets off the lift before reaching the top of the hill, eliminating any risk of collision with other vehicles or pedestrians.

An urban solution
The system blends in seamlessly with urban landscapes because it is fully installed just below the ground. This guarantees very short installation times.

The lift is electrically powered, which guarantees a very low noise level.
